Life Story of JLo on film

Trust Filipino movie producers to grab every chance to make money. In the news last night, independent producer Irma Alegre was interviewed about her plan to make a movie on JLo. And the name bandied about to take on the role: Wally Bayola.

Who's Wally Bayola? He's Jose's alter ego in Eat Bulaga. Wally is a competent performer but he in a serious drama? Fine, he does the route every Holy Week along with other Eat Bulaga people but seriously, a movie on JLO with Wally? That will be interesting... but people might not take it seriously...

Did you watch on TV some snippets from his showbiz na showbiz interview/appearance at the Ateneo Rockwell? That was disappointing.

For some people, that may have been fun and funny but for those who have still to make up their minds who to believe, what to believe and what to do, that was an ABSOLUTE TURN OFF!

Nakakainis. Showbiz na showbiz gid ya. Like one colleague said, "Who would like to believe a kenkoy?"

Can't we just save the jokes and showbiz talks for later? Now is a time to seriously think about what all of this is bringing us and where all of us are heading towards ... I honestly don't know what to say when my students ask, "You think it will be safe to review in Manila after our graduation in March?" (Review center is very near university belt.)

BUT JLo or no JLo, I am still joining the rally on Monday (12 noon! whattatime!) kasi I feel that the brazenness of all the lying and twisting and distorting the truth is too much. Tama na, nakakasuka na.

He's as much as fault as the people asking the silly questions, even about his sex life. Irrelevant questions, pa cute questions.

When I attended the mass last Monday, it wasn't at all for him but for the country... because hopefully the world will be a better place for the next generation. wishful thinking?

I saw part of the mass covered on ANC ... the homily was a little long and medio deep, I almost doze off so I kept myself busy trying to catch a glimpse of you among the crowd. Ha ha ha!

"...better place for the next generation." Maskin wishful thinking lang, at least we tried to do something. I dread being asked by a niece or a nephew about what I did during this time and telling them that I did nothing at all.

One sister and a few friends saw me in the video shown earlier in the evening; thank God that portion was not shown in the news past 11 pm. I didn't see it myself, mayo lang. I was behind three rows of priests.
